Develop Your Team

Whether you have a team of 2 or a team of 20, the challenges you face as a business owner are the same.  Are you fortunate enough to have a team that understands their role and responsibility, the expectations and standards within your business and the values you have?  Do you have “rules”, then the “unwritten rules” that your team seems to abide by?

An invaluable starting point in developing your ideal team is with a Behaviour Profile analysis.  This will produce a report that clearly identifies why you and your team do what they do.  Stretching the muscle around understanding why you do what you do will give you greater confidence in your ability to communicate with your clients the way they need to be communicated with.

Mckenna Consulting uses a multi-faceted success process, utilizing systems that help you better understand yourself, your team and your clients.

Behaviour

Who are you and why do you do what you do?  Who are the people you work with and why do they do what they do?  Discovering strengths within yourself and your team gives you the ability to utilise skills and experience to their fullest.  Finding out your stretches enables you to adapt, learn and develop these areas to become a more well-rounded person.

Team Training

Remember the feeling you have when you have come back from a course or training?  Coming back into the workplace motivated, fired up and excited?  How long did that last?  One week, two tops?  How hard is it to pass on the enthusiasm to your team?

We love working with your whole team, in your space.  Engaging your whole team in implementing new ideas, discovering more about themselves, each other and your clients takes on a whole new meaning when you are all learning at the same time.  Powerful stuff.

Mentoring

One on one mentoring of your Management Team guides them to develop skills that will benefit your business.  Are your team’s values aligned with yours? What are your values, expectations and goals for your business?  Are they clearly defined?  Are they easily explained and understood?  Mentoring develops your muscle around decision-making and clarity for you and your business.  Mentoring holds you accountable to the promises you make to yourself.

Leadership

You cannot lead without people willing and wanting to follow.  The term “leadership” has evolved over the years to encompass a more collaborative and supportive role whilst developing the skills required to make decisions and choices when needed.  Very few leaders are born, most are nurtured, developed and grown from guidance and support.

Communication

Have you ever said something and it has been taken completely the wrong way?  Can you remember a time when you were presenting a plan or proposal to a client and they say to the receptionist when leaving – “I had no idea what he/she was saying?”.  You are not alone.

The ability to pass on knowledge and information is the basic understanding of what communication is.  But it is so much more than that.  Communication utilises the words that you say, the tone that you use and your body language as you present your words.  In this rapidly evolving world of high-tech, mis-communication is one of the biggest areas of conflict within businesses today.

Learn the art of using High Touch in a High Tech world.  Be able to identify the triggers to fully engage your client as well as your team.

Relationships

A great workplace, a great home life, a great team doesn’t just happen.  Commitment to yourself, your family, your business, your team and your clients will create meaningful relationships which in turn leads to a more fulfilled and satisfying life.

The relationship you have with yourself has to be at the core of all that you do.  You can only reflect what you know, so it only makes sense that if you don’t have a great relationship with yourself you will struggle to have great relationships with others.

Environment

To have a great business, you need to know what you can bring to your business and what you want from your business.

Having a clear understanding of why you are in business keeps you on track – knowing what your values, expectations and goals for your business – transforms your business to the next level.

Using a 4 step evaluation, I can identify the “gaps” in your business and help you develop a great culture, using a structure that supports your vision with the tools needed to get the job done and having the right people on your team to achieve amazing results.
